The Importance of Belonging

Prime Rehabilitation Services and Mobile Therapy Services were proud exhibitors at the APTANJ Spring Conference this past weekend.

As a Physical Therapist with decades of experience, I recognize and appreciate the value of local, regional, and national organizations who drive our profession and related industries forward, highlighting the importance of our professional accomplishments to the public audience.

Now more than ever, it is important to support and be present for our therapy profession. Join organizations, lend your voice and expertise to panel discussions and other avenues that impact our industry…belong and participate.

Here is a synopsis of this convention, written in the APTA E-news – The Jersey Jargon:

“The APTANJ Spring Conference took place this past weekend at Kean University in Union, NJ. PTs, PTAs and students filled the atrium and classrooms of the North Avenue Academic Building to explore an impressive mix of exhibits and poster presentations, gain valuable education and make their voices heard at the 2018 Spring Business Meeting. Friday Night’s Career Fair and Multicultural Night celebration added to the opportunities to network and kick up the fun. Thanks to our PT Partner, Kean University, for hosting this year’s Spring Conference; and a very special thanks goes out to Shannon Clifford, APTANJ member and Executive Director of Kean’s School of Physical Therapy, for bringing it all together.

APTANJ’s Executive Director, Daniel Klim, was honored for his efforts and accomplishments, over the past 5 years, in helping to grow the association and the profession in New Jersey; by outreach and advocacy leading to having PTs at the table to help guide the direction of healthcare in New Jersey, inclusion of the profession in recent opioid legislation, updates to the PT Practice Act and inclusion of NJ in the Physical Therapy Licensure Compact, to name a few. Congratulations to Dan on a job well done! Click here to view video honoring Dan.”
