Taking Time To Reflect on Memorial Day
As we observe Memorial Day this Monday, we at Prime Rehabilitation Services would like to take a moment to remember the fallen and thank the veterans who served alongside them and who are helping keep their memories alive today.
To many, Memorial Day has come to signify the start of summer and a well-deserved three-day weekend, but perhaps the unintended consequence of social distancing will serve as a pause to let our minds settle and remember what Memorial Day is truly about.
It is a day in which we recall the lives of men and women who have offered so much so that we can have the freedom to pursue happiness and live in a safe, secure place. This day serves as a reminder for us to take a minute to reflect on the loss, sacrifice and courage of these individuals who served our country.
As we acknowledge and give thanks to the men and women in the armed forces who provide their selfless services, we must also acknowledge the same effort and sacrifice that our therapists take in this current time.
The global coronavirus pandemic has affected our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. Our hearts go out to anyone who has been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Through this collective experience we have also discovered a new and resilient strength in community values through the inspiring and selfless action of people coming to work every day to care for patients, knowing that that day they could be infected with the COVID-19.
We are extremely humbled and honored to be able to provide continued therapy that our therapists in nursing homes. In these moments of uncertainty there is always one thing we can count of it: the loyalty of our therapist to their patients.
