Mobile Therapy Services Inc Community Reach-Out
By: Yaffa Liebermann PT, GCS, CEO and Katie Forman CPA, COO of Mobile Therapy Services
As you are aware Mobile Therapy Services Inc (MTS) is a sister company of Prime Rehabilitation Services Inc (PRS) that provides therapy services at home.
MTS provides same great therapies t hat SNF residents receive from PRS, but we do it in the convenience of patients’ homes.
Last week MTS was invited to present our program at “Advocates In Action Annual Spotlight Session” community gathering. Advocates in Action is an advocacy and support firm whose mission is “to be the Voice to those who don’t have one, through Advocacy, Encouragement & Leadership”. MTS had a pleasure of sharing a few clients with Advocates in Action, and it was refreshing to see the way that this agency approaches every client, every scenario and every moment with the focus on the wants and needs of the client.
We valued the chance to be presenting among the agency approved providers about deficits we can correct, and how to improve quality of life with PT, OT and SLP skilled care.
One of the presenters featured at the Spotlight was PrimeTime Center – day rehabilitation program for developmentally disabled with 3 locations spanning in Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean counties of New Jersey. It was delightful to hear about the guidance, support and nurture their clients are able to utilize to realize their potential in work, social skills and life.
Another presenter featured at the Spotlight was Southpaw Gym – a provider of Boxing, Muay Thai, and Mixed Martial Arts. Since the gym opened in 1989, team focus has been on giving back to the community, with focus on creating lifelong relationships. Teaching the fundamentals of striking to help, with everything from Silat to Muay Thai, led to opening of their after-school program, where kids can learn self-defense skills and to learn to excel as individuals and as a team.
As healthcare professionals I think we can all agree how important knowledge, commitment and involvement is for each patient care, and it was delightful to see the community resources available to those in need.
