Yaffa Liebermann, PT, GCS, CEO is proud to be featured on the APTANJ 2019 Fall Conference brochure.
With over 50 years of experience as a Physical Therapist and only one of twelve in the entire United States that has the distinction of being recognized as a board-certified Geriatric Specialist for over 20 years, Yaffa prides herself on developing a therapy contract company that puts patients’ needs above all else. She freely shares her knowledge, love, and passion for the geriatric population with all PRS therapists. She remains a steadfast patient and caregiver advocate, a staunch supporter of therapy associations, and devoted educator to the next generation of therapists.
Yaffa’s strengths are illustrated by her: unwavering commitments to the Physical Therapy profession, her clients and her employees. Yaffa demonstrates unparalleled leadership within her company. She is among the first to meet with newly hired therapists and assist in their orientation process. Yaffa actively encourages clinical affiliations, most especially Level II students to guide and shape their scope of practice to the underserved population. She also truly enjoys the opportunity to work with new graduates, welcoming them with open arms and fostering their introduction to the world of physical therapy while sharing her knowledge and expertise. Yaffa makes great efforts to maintain her personal relationships with each and every therapist within her company and enjoys spending time among the teams.
As a female business owner and treating therapist, Yaffa Liebermann is a role model for other physical therapists. Her first- authored book, Stroke Restoration: Functional Movements for Patients and Caregivers, along with her children’s books, I Stand-up Straight, along with two workbooks and a video on YouTube demonstrate her passion and purpose to advocate for physical therapy in different formats.
Yaffa Liebermann has committed herself to a life of outstanding clinical practice, positively impacting the quality of practice and the clinical practice of others while contributing to the state associations. As a keynote speaker at many universities and industry conferences, Yaffa Liebermann, PT, CEO is highly regarded amongst her peers. Topics include proper breathing, wellness exercises, proper body mechanics, and stroke restoration, amongst others. Yaffa continues to educate therapists about how patients can breathe better and perform movements in a safe and correct way—so they can prevent future injuries and carry their bodies in a healthy and beautiful way.
