Independence Day or the Fourth of July is more than just another day off from work or school. It is a historic day that celebrates the origins of Americans’ rights and freedoms that often get taken for granted. From 1776 to the present day, July 4th continues to mark the commemoration of the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States’ separation from Great Britain as an independent nation. The Declaration of Independence was constructed and became the guidelines for America and still is the basic framework for our government today as well as continues to be celebrated as the birth of American independence and freedom.

Fostering independence is what therapy is all about and by providing skilled physical, occupational, and speech therapy services at home, our elders can continue to enjoy their independence and celebrate occasions such as this holiday. Whether it is fireworks, parades, concerts, or more casual family gathering and barbecues.
