AMERICA’S GOLDEN TWINS

In a beautiful city,

There were twins,

Not of flesh and blood,

But of steel, concrete, and glass.

No one can crush down,

The spirit of the people,

The strength of the nation

They were the center of the skyline.

They were the spirit of the city.

At sunset they shined like gold,

While inside they had real gold.

No one can crush down,

The spirit of the people,

The strength of the nation.

They held people and jobs

That gathered and shared information.

One day they were struck by evil,

Burying the treasure of human lives.

No one can crush down,

The spirit of the people,

The strength of the nation.
